Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Non Admitted Funding Policy, the Senior Policy Officer, Non Admitted Funding Policy will fulfil a key role in the Funding Policy and System Integration Unit, focused on issues associated with the management of National Health Reform, in particular the roll out of Activity Based Funding.  

The position contributes expertise to projects with a focus on Non Admitted health system activity.  This will include analysing health service activity and cost data to inform funding policy development.  The position collaborates with a range of program and data areas in the department to guide funding policy development and stakeholder communications, and where relevant, successful implementation of assigned projects. 

The position's current work is focused on developing and improving  local non-admitted public hospital services funding policy.  The focus of the role can vary over time as priorities within the unit change.
