I&T HCM (Human Capital Management) Project Lead

The Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) is responsible for facilitating the development and delivery of the biggest transport infrastructure program in Victorian history. Key MTIA projects include the: • removal of 75 dangerous and congested level crossings across metropolitan Melbourne • Metro Tunnel to unblock the bottleneck in the city loop and free up space for more trains • West Gate Tunnel to provide a second river crossing for Melbourne • North East Link to complete the missing link in Melbourne’s orbital ring road • Airport Rail Link to connect Melbourne Airport to metropolitan and regional lines • Regional Rail Revival upgrade to every regional passenger line in Victoria • upgrade of suburban and regional roads, including 21 main roads in the outer suburbs. MTIA is established as an Administrative Office under the Public Administration Act 2004 as a specialist organisation, comprising skilled and experienced staff across the various professional disciplines involved in transport infrastructure project delivery. Led by the Director-General, it has five key groups: Level Crossing Removal Project, Major Road Projects Victoria, the North East Link Project, Rail Projects Victoria and the West Gate Tunnel Project. The Minister for Transport Infrastructure is the responsible Minister for the projects which are developed and delivered by MTIA.

About the Organisation

Victoria's Big Build is overseen by the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA).

The MTIA was established on 1 January 2019 to oversee major transport projects in Victoria. It is made up of 5 project teams:

MTIA collaborates with the above project offices and the Department of Transport ensure major construction activities and disruptions are coordinated across the transport network, including plans to keep people moving through major works periods whilst also providing IT & PMO solutions that meet the needs of the project offices it supports.

About the opportunity

As the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority's I&T Human Capital Management Project Lead, you will utilise your extensive expertise within large systems implementations and a growth mindset to lead the development and delivery of a fit for purpose HCM solution to a diverse range of project offices with varying needs.

Reporting to the Deputy Director, Enterprise Technology & PMO, you will be inspired to utilise your strategic thinking when developing and implementing the wider HCM strategy, roadmap, operational standards and procedures in alignment with the MTIA's needs.

A key to the success of this role is leveraging your extensive hands-on experience with end user stakeholders, and bringing your negotiation skills and solution focused mindset to achieve a lasting, fit for purpose product.

About you

You are:

  • Well versed across the SAP SuccessFactors projects (or similar) and product management life cycle, with expertise in delivering service in an enterprise environments and a genuine commitment to achieving operational excellence outcomes
  • An excellent communicator and people person who can bring stakeholders (including non-experts) on the product management journey, with your ability to translate complex and creative concepts in a manner that promotes buy in and enthusiasm for the SuccessFactors platform
  • A project management expert – your ability to manage and meet time, cost and quality requirements in a complex and dynamic environment is second to none!
