Position Details

  • An important leadership position in the Foothills & Southern Alps Area team
  • Gain operational leadership experience in a fixed term role
  • The position leads a team of up to 5 Rangers and upto 1 Project officer

About the role

As the Ranger Team Leader, you will lead a team of staff to deliver high quality services in line with the Regional Operations Plan, with support and under the direction of the Area Chief Ranger. As the Ranger Team Leader, you will be required to lead the team at Heyfield, by providing advice, supervision and guidance and work closely with counterparts in the Dargo team. The role includes office administration work and some field based work.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Skills in leadership and people management
  • Experience in park estate management including working with traditional owners.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service focus both internally and externally.
  • Track record in dealing with external stakeholders on a range of land management issues.
