The Senior Policy Officer, Biodiversity 2037 will contribute to the implementation of Victoria's 20 year biodiversity plan Protecting Victoria's Environment – Biodiversity 2037.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the implementation of the Biodiversity 2037 Monitoring Evaluation Reporting and Improvement framework.
  • Lead and contribute to implementation planning and develop information products and tools to embed the Biodiversity 2037 implementation framework in government and non-government business.
  • Develop and manage strong, collaborative and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop materials and approaches for building understanding of Biodiversity 2037, supporting change management processes and strengthening engagement with key partners and stakeholders in its implementation.

The position requires the incumbent to demonstrate strong policy, research and analytical capabilities. High level communication skills will enable project and planning delivery with the ability to form and communicate complex ideas and influence program outputs within a high volume and time pressured environment. 

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2020.
