The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Team Leader - Industry Administration Team to provide a critical role within Offender Services.

About the Business Unit

The Community Operations and Offender Services Division of Corrections Victoria is responsible for the programmatic and services response to support rehabilitation in adult corrections.

Prison Industries operates over 65 individual industries across 13 sites to provide people in custody with a variety of employment, training and learning opportunities, while also aiming to deliver value for the public through goods and services provided to both private customers and internal customers - both custodial facilities and government.

About the Role

The Team Leader - Industry Administration Team is responsible for overseeing all aspects of administration for Prison Industries including maintaining a high standard of customer service to stakeholders, supporting stakeholders to comply with the Industry Management Manual and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

As the Team Leader - Industry Administration Team, some of your duties will include:

  • Overseeing all aspects of Prison Industries administration, including stakeholder engagement, management of order and supporting locations to comply with the Industry Management Manual
  • Leading the Administration Team to support Prison Industries head office personnel enact the Prison Industries Strategic Direction
  • Providig advice and recommendations to improve system efficiency, performance and quality

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the Oracle suite of tools as particularly applied within a manufacturing and corrections environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with information technology systems including Oracle, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • An appropriate qualification in Administration, Finance, Accounting or related business discipline is highly desirable.
