Position Details

The WorkSafe 2030 Program (WSV2030) is significant in terms of its scale, complexity and expenditure.  The Program Manager is a key role within the Transformation Operations Business Unit and is integral to the successful delivery of 2030 programs and projects.

About the role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Active leadership, oversight and management of operational delivery
  • Leading and managing program activities and supporting project deliverables
  • Actively supporting the Program Director, Worksafe 2030 in devising and implementing the Program Delivery Strategy
  • Ensuring deliverables are aligned across the projects and programs in the program.
  • Providing leadership, guidance and support to project managers to support the successful delivery of projects, and fostering a positive and collaborative team culture
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities to enhance program delivery, performance and governance
  • Managing and monitoring program governance and working closely with our vendor community
  • Proactively identifying, managing and reporting risk and issues
  • Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies between the various projects and programs in the program

Skills & Experience

  • Significant program management / project management experience in t She delivery of transformation programs with multiple projects running concurrently
  • Demonstrable success managing projects on time and within budget in a matrix environment
  • Extensive project lifecycle experience understanding the planning and delivery of projects in its entirety
  • High level communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, research and report writing skills
  • Tertiary qualification in Business and project management qualifications or equivalent
  • PMI or PRINCE2 certification or equivalent methodology
  • Proficient with Project and Portfolio Management Tools (Visio, MS Project, Clarity, etc.)
