Position Details

Coliban Water currently has positions available for an ongoing and a fixed term (12 months) Account Solutions Officer.

We are looking for customer focused individuals with positive attitudes, initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. As a team you will be working towards the shared objectives of meeting both the organisation and customer debt recovery and hardship needs.

Reporting to the Account Solutions Coordinator, within the Finance and Pricing team this position focuses on providing customers with solutions to effectively manage their debt.

A very strong customer focus and a high level of communication is needed to succeed in this role. You will be required to communicate with clients via the telephone, email and in person. You will also be required to undertake property visits to residential and commercial properties to discuss outstanding accounts and at times assist customers with completion of documentation.

You will need to be a proven team player with the ability to positively contribute to the work environment whist working towards common objectives and supporting all team members to achieve desired outcomes.

To be successful in this position, applicants will ideally have;

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in debt recovery and/or delivering on a hardship program.

  • Highly developed and effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with customers to achieve mutually agreed outcomes.

  • Excellent team work skills with the ability to positively support all team members and proactively identify efficiencies that support improvements for the team, organisation and our customers.

  • Ability to work effectively in unsupervised situations.

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2015 Band 2 ($51,000 to $55,000).
