What You'll Do

The Team Leader Horticulture is responsible for leading and developing the Horticulture team to deliver horticulture activities in a range of specific operational areas such as horticultural maintenance, living plant collections curation plant records, plant health, biosecurity, storage and use of hazardous substances, and irrigation to contribute to the achievement of branch objectives. In this highly varied and critical role, you will be responsible for the coordination of all aspects of the team and work collaboratively with others to positively contribute to the delivery of Divisional goals and objectives.

 

What You'll Bring

With an associate diploma or commensurate qualification, the successful candidate will have a strong history in applying their horticultural knowledge and best practices in Australian plant horticulture. A natural leader, you have a proven ability to support, develop and motivate your team to achieve branch goals. You have demonstrated experience in the management and development of a living plant collection program, including coordinating operational maintenance, curation and development of a large public garden to high standards. Your organisation skills are evidenced in your proven ability to budget, plan and schedule teams and projects to timely completion. You are now looking to lead a highly successful team in an iconic Victorian organisation, on a full-time, ongoing basis.
