Who We Are
For over 175 years, Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria has connected people with nature: originally at a heritage-listed landscape in the heart of Melbourne and, more recently, with the addition of a contemporary native garden set within a natural bushland reserve at Cranbourne. These sites are home to extraordinary landscapes, innovative public programming and world-leading plant science, horticultural expertise and conservation research.
What You'll Do
We are seeking a proactive Leasing Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of leases, licenses, and permits of RBGV property and buildings across both sites. In this role, you'll build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, ensure agreements remain compliant and up to date, and coordinate accommodation bookings and event schedules. You'll also handle short-term commercial permits, respond to queries, support business development opportunities, and monitor asset maintenance and usage. This position plays a key role in risk management, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring alignment with regulations and organisational policies.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing leases, licences, and permits—ideally in a high-profile public setting. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to negotiate and build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders. You'll need excellent organisational and project coordination skills, a sound understanding of contractual terms, and the ability to interpret agreements. Proven relationship management capabilities and experience in effective risk management are also key to success in this role.
