What You'll Do

The Supervisor Visitor Experience (Summer Extended Hours) is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to new and existing visitors to Melbourne Gardens through leadership of the Visitor Experience team, during late afternoons and evenings across the Daylight Savings period. The role ensures the safety and security of Melbourne Gardens and develops the Visitor Experience team to achieve highly effective and efficient visitor engagement through roaming activities and incident response in line with RBGV emergency response protocols.

Acting as Chief Warden for the site, this role will be responsible for coordinating responses to incidents and liaising with emergency services as required.

The incumbent will be required to work Tuesday to Saturday 3pm to 8pm including public holidays.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing a customer service team in a significant cultural, scientific, tourism or heritage organisation. You can respond calmly and professionally to high-pressure or emergency situations in a public environment, and you are able to utilise sound decision-making skills to ensure a safe and positive outcome. You take pride in your work, delivering top-quality customer service to key stakeholders using your sound communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate should have a strong history in leading, organising and motivating teams to achieve success and hit branch targets.
