Position Details

Coliban Region Water Corporation is based in Bendigo and is one of the largest Victorian regional urban water corporations. Our service area covers 16,550 square kilometres including 49 towns and is at the southern gateway to the Murray-Darling basin – Australia's food bowl. We manage, maintain and operate over 50 reservoirs and water storage basins and provide water and waste services to both urban and rural customers.

Coliban Water currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Strategic Asset Performance Manager. Reporting to the Manager Partnerships and Asset Systems you will be responsible for leading, directing and managing all aspects of strategic asset performance management at Coliban Water. You will also be responsible for leading and developing the asset management team to build capability to support the overall program delivery.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing, implementing, and continuously improving ISO55000 and Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF).

  • Developing and ensuring the implementation of sound asset management principles and strategies within the organisation

  • Overseeing and ensuring maintenance management and system reliability

  • Supporting and facilitating the business model of outsourced operations and maintenance functions

  • Developing an effective work team through creating a positive work environment that enables the achievement of objectives and demonstrates continuous improvement in quality and services delivery.

To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to communicate effectively, consult and negotiate with staff at all levels, influence others on decisions made and provide team members with effective coaching and development.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering Asset Management governance, systems, processes and procedures within organisations – particularly ISO55000

  • Demonstrated ability to increase an organisation's capability to make good long term decisions based on whole of life principles that align to service levels and stakeholder needs

  • Proven ability to lead, develop and challenge work teams to achieve objectives and high levels of performance.

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2015. The pay range is Band 5 $94,000 – $104,000 (Base) and a salary will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
