Department policy stipulates that salary upon commencement is paid at the base of the salary range for the relevant grade. Any above base requests require sign off by an executive delegate and will be by exception only or where required to match the current salary of Victorian Public Service staff transferring at level.

Position Details

About us

Tarrengower is a minimum security prison accommodating up to 72 female offenders and is situated 2 km from Maldon in Central Victoria. Tarrengower's emphasis is on release preparation and community reintegration through the provision of programs within a rehabilitative environment. Tarrengower emphasises the principles of a healthy prison where children can be accommodated with their mothers ensuring the family unit is maintained and developed.

About the role

Contributing to Corrections Victoria achieving its Mission to deliver a safe and secure corrections system, as the Offender Management Supervisor, you will:

  • actively engage offenders and the community to promote positive behavioural change
  • implement continuous improvement strategies in offender management initiatives
  • develop and improve processes to ensure alignment with the Offender Management Framework
  • participate in a multi-disciplinary team to support and enhance offender management practices
  • provide mentoring and support to prison supervisors and case workers regarding offender management processes.

About you

As the successful candidate, you must have:

  • completed the Prison Pre Service Training
  • demonstrated knowledge with the Reducing Reoffending and Offender Management Framework's
  • practices of offender management/case management in a custodial setting
  • demonstrated ability to provide leadership in a correctional environment.
