Position Summary:

An exciting opportunity exists to contribute to the strategic priorities of Safer Care Victoria. The Senior Project Officer will work within the System Improvement, Innovation and Leadership branch, a dynamic team focused on providing improvement, project management and change management subject matter expertise to a wide range of project and programs across four key work streams. In addition to technical project management expertise, the role requires the development of strong and productive relationships across the agency, the Department of Health and Human Services and with other sector stakeholders to ensure that all our activities are successfully delivered.

Safer Care Victoria  is the peak state authority for leading quality and safety improvement in healthcare and was established in January 2017 to oversee and support health services to provide safe, high-quality care to patients every time, everywhere. As well as monitoring the standards of care provided, SCV is partnering with consumers and their families, clinicians and health services to support the continuous improvement of healthcare. The agency was created in response to the recommendations within the report, Targeting Zero: supporting the Victorian hospital system to eliminate avoidable harm and strengthen quality of care.
