Position Details

This position provides an excellent opportunity for a high-performing individual who is driven by a desire to achieve environmental benefits within Victoria's catchment and waterway management and water resource management frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for development, delivery and implementation of key projects and policy to support environmental water management in Victoria and its integration with the broader waterway management program, including supporting implementation of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan in northern Victoria.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Essential – a degree qualification or higher, preferably in science, environmental engineering, natural resource management, environmental law, or a relevant equivalent.
  • Highly desirable – demonstrated knowledge of aquatic ecology, Victoria's catchment and waterway management and water resource management frameworks, and/or knowledge of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan.

This is a fixed term position available until 14 August 2025. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
