Position Details

We are looking for a driven individual that will lead the operations arm of our Spatial Services. DEECA's Spatial Services Team delivers mission-critical services to the Department as well as many other areas across the Victorian Government.

The Team Leader Enterprise Spatial Operations will provide a customer centric focus to support, ensuring requests are responded to courteously and within agreed service levels. The Team Leader Enterprise Spatial Operations is a leader in the spatial domain and will drive continuous improvement of services and support process through innovative thinking that is based on objective analysis of support issues and an in depth understanding of stakeholder requirements that are based on strong stakeholder relationships and interpersonal skills.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems or related discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder and problem solving skills.
  • Proven experience in leading a team providing technical support of spatial data and metadata systems.
  • Proven experience in leading a team providing support of spatial applications (web mapping or desktop GIS).

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
