Position Details
Please note: Due to Machinery of Government changes under Section 30 of the Public Administration Act (PPA), effective 1 January 2023, your employment will be with the Department of Transport and Planning. Corporate Services, including payroll, will be provided by Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action while a process for the formal transfer of staff in impacted areas is implemented.
The Heritage Assessment Support Officer will contribute to the work of the multi-disciplinary team delivering Heritage Victoria's statutory functions under Part 5 of the Heritage Act 2017. The position will be responsible for supporting heritage officers with the assessment of statutory applications in relation to changes proposed for heritage places and objects included in the Victorian Heritage Register. This position will liaise with clients, consultants and other stakeholders on statutory processes and administrative functions.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in a heritage related discipline including but not limited to architecture, conservation, engineering, planning, landscape or horticulture with experience in heritage conservation is preferred.
This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2023. The work location for this position is 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
