Position Details

This position will contribute to the development and implementation of projects related to Aboriginal water as part of the development of Victoria's Aboriginal Water Program, and as part of DELWP's commitment to Aboriginal self determination. In this role, you will be supporting the Senior Manager Aboriginal Water in delivering the Aboriginal Water Program, including the oversight of specific projects being delivered by Traditional Owner groups.  You will also oversee a network of Aboriginal Water Project Officers who will be based, regionally in other organisations.

Specialist/Technical Expertise

  • Have extensive experience and knowledge of Victorian Aboriginal communities and issues to deliver culturally informed Government programs and services.
  • Understanding, knowledge and experience of Aboriginal water issues is highly desirable.
  • A qualification in natural resource management or water is desirable.
