As Communication Adviser (Corporate Communication) you will research and generate content that supports the delivery of best practice internal communications support and advice for DEECA's Corporate Services Group. As a content writer, you will work to help drive staff engagement with tailored communications that deliver on the department's internal communication priorities. The role works closely with the Office of the Secretary and each division of the Corporate Services Group to develop content and plans, in line with effective strategies that ensures corporate priorities are communicated to help build an informed and connected workforce. The role leads the delivery of internal communications content, plans and products, provides advice to senior executives and develops innovative and impactful approaches to content development.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Experience in writing, producing and sharing a range of content across traditional and new channels.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in journalism, digital communications or public relations, preferably in a government setting.
  • A background in journalist and editorial experience is preferred.
  • Good understanding of social media and digital channels with experience in measurement and reporting.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
