Our Organisation

DELWP brings together Victoria's climate change, biodiversity protection, resource recovery, water, energy, land management, planning and forest and fire management functions into a single department. We take an integrated approach to creating thriving environments and communities and supporting Victoria's economic recovery from the impact of COVID-19.

DELWP employs more than 4,800 staff in 91 locations across the state and is a key manager of Victoria's public estate. We directly own and manage various categories of public land and assets, including roads and tracks, office buildings, depots, recreational facilities, firefighting and road maintenance equipment, crossings, water bores and mobile plant.

Our challenge is to improve Victoria's liveability while protecting our natural environment, infrastructure, and heritage for future generations.

Your New Role

We are seeking to appoint the Director, Organisational Development within the People and Culture Division, Corporate Services Group.

The role is responsible for upholding the vision of the People and Culture division and is accountable for ensuring DELWP has the leadership capability with the required frameworks and tools to increase employee engagement, build capability and create a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment and culture.

As a member of the People and Culture division, the Director is responsible for the design and implementation of corporate organisational development strategies, policies and programs that align to the departments strategic and operational plans.

Critical to the role is the ability to provide specialist expertise and consistent advice and support to the Executive Director, People and Culture, Senior Executive Team, and Group stakeholders. The Director will deliver and implement pragmatic solutions to organisational development, undertake an ongoing analysis of departmental and people related issues during times of significant change and ambiguity. This role is a great opportunity for a trusted leader looking to contribute to the overall direction of the People and Culture initiatives and interventions to enhance organisational culture and develop the reputation of People and Culture as a trusted organisational partner.
