Position Details

Do you like water resource management to be based on best available information?

Do you have what it takes to guide modelling practice and lead industry?

Can you deliver complex water resource project across Victoria and the Murray Darling Basin?

If the answer is yes then we want you as our Senior Water Resource Modeller.

The Surface Water Assessment and Modelling Team plays a key role in ensuring that decisions about Victoria's surface water resources are supported by the best-available information, surface water assessments and modelling. This new role within the team will provide opportunities for the development of a wide variety of skills, including technical, policy and project management, and opportunities for working across the Victorian water industry and with other Murray-Darling Basin jurisdictions.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Specialist expertise in surface water resource assessment and modelling is mandatory, including experience and proficiency in application of Source modelling software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent skills in technical data analysis are highly desirable.
  • Experience in technical report writing is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the Victorian water supply systems and/or the Murray-Darling Basin is highly desirable.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
