Position Details

The Manager, Emergency Management Policy and Partnerships in the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action leads a team responsible for delivering emergency management strategic policy advice in partnership with hazard areas across the department.

To be successful in the role, you will have extensive policy and people management experience, thrive working in fast paced and quickly changing environments, and be comfortable employing your influence and negotiation skills to build and strengthen stakeholder relationships and achieve outcomes.

This position would suit an experienced policy professional looking for a part-time role (0.6 FTE).

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification(s) in public policy, law, emergency management or similar is desirable.
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver public policy advice in a complex operating environment

This is a part time, (0.6FTE, job share) fixed term position available for a period of 12 months. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne, with hybrid work arrangements available.
