The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) has a requirement to fill a Senior Project Officer – Asset Management role within the Infrastructure and Resources Division, Roads and Fixed Assets Unit.

The Roads and Fixed Assets unit within the Infrastructure and Resources Division undertakes capital infrastructure works on the public land road network.  The unit has a strong focus towards asset management.  The Senior Project Officer – Asset Management, will manage assets in a consistent way, embedding a proactive approach to maintenance, inspection and auditing.

The successful candidate will lead the development, coordination and reporting for DELWP's assets across Victoria's public land estate. DELWP has legislative responsibilities for the strategic network of roads on public land, as well as assets for bushfire and other emergencies.  This position will assist the Secretary of DELWP to carry out necessary land and emergency management functions to support these requirements.

You will have the demonstrated skills and experience in Asset Management. You will be able to hit the ground running as you apply the your analytical and systems thinking capabilities in developing an asset management system, and accompanying processes, which meets best practice asset management principles. Underpinning all that you do, you will ensure DELWP meets all state audit requirements and ensures compliance to the Asset Management Accountability Framework.

You will bring strong project management skills and be able to apply these to achieve objectives. As you juggle a variety of objectives, you will be interacting with and supporting a broad range of our internal and external stakeholders. Your highly-developed communication, stakeholder engagement, planning and organising skills will be utilised as you navigate complex issues, conversations, expectations and the general demands and priorities of the role.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of up to 15 months.
