Position Details

Safer Together is a multi-agency program focused on sharing and improving bushfire management approaches across Victoria. Our small team coordinates the Safer Together program, and we are seeking someone with strong stakeholder management skills who can work collaboratively across the emergency management sector to deliver on program objectives. This exciting project sits within the Fire Reform Program Coordination team in the Policy and Planning Division of DELWP.

You will have the opportunity to inform policy and strategy development, oversee and improve reporting processes, lead program governance and advisory arrangements, manage budget and grants programs, prepare communication materials and support continual improvement. With plenty of learning and development opportunities, and lots of variety, this is a great role for someone interested in progressing their career.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification(s) in public policy, program management, business management or another relevant degree is highly desirable.
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding of government policy development and reform processes is highly desirable.
