Position Details

An opportunity to work collaboratively with a number of staff across DEECA and other agencies within the emergency sector to deliver on bushfire and emergency management activities in the Midlands District.

This position will work closely with District and Regional personnel to ensure tasks relating to bushfire preparedness and emergency response are delivered to a high standard. Possessing and displaying excellent problem solving and communication skills with an ability to work as an effective team member in a dynamic environment is integral. In addition, this role will be required to participate in the response to bushfire, other emergencies and planned burning.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Hold a current FFMVic emergency management role, or willing to work towards one.
  • Demonstrated experience in emergency management, preferably with good knowledge of preparedness requirements.

This is a fixed term position available until 1 May 2026. The work location for this position is within Mount Rowan with hybrid work arrangements available.
