The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) has a requirement to fill a vacancy for a Program Manager - Land and Built Environment role. This is an exciting opportunity to work in and lead a dynamic team that provides a service to protect and enhance public land in the Hume Region.

The role provides support to public land managers (such as community groups, volunteer Committees of Management and Councils) to inform and guide on appropriate management of Crown land and uphold public land governance and administration.  

Our successful candidate has had a career to date in in public land management and can rely on these skills to assist them in taking immediate carriage of the work and leading the team. You can be relied on, to not only share your subject matter expertise, but to also genuinely guide staff in assisting with their skills development. 

Your engagement skills are exceptional. Our internal and external stakeholders come from a diverse range of backgrounds therefore, you can navigate conversations with such diverse groups and individuals with much ease. Your people and communication skills give rise to your ability to identify opportunities, and proactively have meaningful conversations with stakeholders and community members, to display and promote what we are doing within the Hume Region.

You shall use these relationship skills in forming, strengthening and maintaining the stakeholder experience by providing guidance and sound advice in accordance with relevant legislation and policy.
