Position Details

The Project Officer will support the delivery of programs and commercial projects within the Commercial and Investment Attraction Division. The Project Officer is required to ensure project management functions and processes are completed within required timeframes and to a high standard.

Critical to success, the Project Officer has proven project/program delivery experience and takes the lead to identify and assess options to solve problems; manage projects on time and within budget; and provide outstanding excellence in program delivery. The position requires a motivated individual with strong organisational and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and flexibly as a key team member.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification and/or experience in energy, finance, public policy, engineering, technology development or project management with a commercial focus would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience or understanding of commercial energy contracts, grant administration or relevant energy policies and programs.
  • Understanding of government processes, the energy sector and renewable energy technologies is desirable.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
