Position Details
The Manager, Wholesale Markets and Security, is responsible for leading the Wholesale Markets and Security team, in the Energy Markets and Networks branch of the Energy Sector Development division.
The Wholesale Markets and Security team is responsible for delivering policies that promote the reliability and security of Victoria's energy system.
The role involves leading policy research, analysis and development, ensuring delivery of significant energy program initiatives, informing legislative and regulatory reforms, and undertaking senior stakeholder management. The successful applicant will have a strong focus on detail, coupled with strong energy and strategic policy leadership experience.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- An appropriate tertiary qualification, preferably in economics, engineering, science, and/or energy.
- Detailed understanding of wholesale energy markets.
- Strong experience with Government processes and operations, focusing on policy development and delivery
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 months. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street Melbourne or flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
