The Media and Communications Adviser will work across all areas of DELWP including wildlife compliance, panned burning, bushfire response, public land and biodiversity. You will organise media events, writing media releases, factsheets and online content and responding to departmental and ministerial requests; respond to media enquiries and provide media/issues management advice to the Regional management Team and staff; produce communications materials, including regular regional newsletters and provide media and communications support for DELWP's fire management and emergency responsibilities.

An industry recognised qualification in communications, journalism or public relations and/or experience working within the media will be highly regarded.

This is a fixed term position for a period of 2 years.
