The Senior Governance Officer is responsible for, supporting at a senior level the day-to-day operations and management of the Governance Unit's relationships with the Environment Protection Authority, Sustainability Victoria, the Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability and the seven waste and resource recovery groups in the context of the review. The Senior officer will Co-ordinate the department's response to the review undertaken of the portfolio's governance arrangements; Providing senior support to the Manager, Governance and Programs and specialised advice on public sector governance practise, policy, and expectations; Working collaboratively with other DELWP governance groups including, Legal Services, Finance, Risk and portfolio entities, to ensure alignment with best practice and a solution-oriented approach to governance issues is maintained; and actively contributing to a positive, open, delivery focussed culture that values and supports people and is based on collaboration, accountability and trust.

This is a fixed term position for a period of 6 months.
