Position purpose

The Senior Adviser, Solar Victoria is a high-level advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and has a varied and challenging role directed by the key priorities and daily operations of Solar Victoria.  You will be highly organised and self-motivated with strong initiative, and you will also have a well-developed, systematic and logical approach to problem solving. You are someone who can sustain a high level of drive and commitment, work autonomously and exercise sound judgement. You will build trust through consistent values, actions and communication.

The role operates in an environment with a high degree of sensitivity, demonstrating judgement and service excellence.  This is an opportunity for someone with excellent self-management skills, and initiative who can deliver within tight timeframes. You will have extensive experience in stakeholder and issues management, government relations and media, as well as a detailed understanding of government and ministerial processes. Your strong networks, negotiation and interpersonal skills will enable you to build and maintain effective strategic relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Specialist/Technical Expertise

  • High level experience and capability in Government relations, media and strategic issues and case management and reputation management.
  • Demonstrated experience in media and a senior role providing advice and support to executives and executive management teams on complex issue is essential.
