The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) has a requirement to fill a Program Manager – Media and Communications vacancy within the Office of the Conservation Regulator (OCR).  The OCRis accountable for the delivery of DELWP's direct regulatory responsibilities in timber harvesting, biodiversity, fire prevention and public land use regulation. The OCR's mission is to be an effective, trusted, best practice regulator – increasing transparency, improving relationships and regulatory capability to deliver on regulatory outcomes.

The Program Manager - Media and Communications is the communications lead for the Office of the Chief Conservation Regulator (OCR). This position will develop and implement a broad range of internal and external communications to inform a range of OCR strategic initiatives and issues management.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing communication strategies, providing expert communications advice to executives and staff, writing communication materials, brand management, event management support and enhancing internal communications practices across the Department.

Our successful candidate will be a subject matter expert and has had a career to date of delivering on high level communications campaigns from developing a brand strategy through to identifying promotion and media opportunities.

You will be very comfortable working with the Corporate Communications Team to ensure consistency and an integrated communications approach. For this reason, you manage cross communication with key people with ease.  You have a work style that naturally lends itself to contributing to an inclusive workplace culture that is collaborative, professional and engaged.          

You have solid stakeholder engagement and influencing skills and know how to apply these to form and maintain positive and professional working relationships with internal stakeholders as you work towards delivery on media and communications projects.
