Environmental Scientists/Engineers

Passionate about the environment in which we live?

If you are looking for the opportunity to shape the world we live in, then influencing some of the largest infrastructure projects undertaken in the State may interest you. DELWP currently has an opportunity for Environmental Scientists or Engineers with experience in environment impact assessments to join the Impact Assessment Unit.

You will have the opportunity to work with a small group of environmental specialists on a wide variety of innovative and challenging projects, including mining, road and rail infrastructure, water delivery infrastructure and other manufacturing and industrial developments. The key focus of these roles will be to co-ordinate the EES requirements for a range of public and private projects to achieve high quality environmental outcomes for the community. The ideal applicants will be able to demonstrate experience with environment impact assessments with a sound knowledge of Victorian environmental and planning legislation.

If you are highly motivated, self-directed with a strong team commitment and can demonstrate an ability to build strong relationships with both external and internal clients, then we look forward to hearing from you.

This is a fixed term-flexible position available for a period of two years.

To be considered for this position, your application should include a supporting statement demonstrating that you meet the key selection criteria and any job requirements specified in the position description.

DELWP will conduct relevant and required checks about applicants and the information provided with an application.  Such checks will include but are not limited to:
