Position Details

The Team Leader Payroll Operations leads a team in providing high quality, customer-centric payroll operational services to support the successful delivery of government and community priorities.

You will be responsible for delivering service excellence and building a high performing culture in providing the effective and efficient delivery of payroll processes for the Department; you will work a range of partners to ensure the integrated and seamless delivery of payroll operational services to DELWP.

The role will require you to provide responsive helpful and confidential service to internal and external customers and stakeholders; Act as the go-to person in the team for all issues in the first instance and be able to trouble shoot issues and train others in this system knowledge; conduct audits, and contribute to specialized projects, process improvement and payroll reform activities.

To be successful in this role you will require to have detailed knowledge of relevant employment, super and tax legislation , extensive experience in Payroll and HCM/HRIS systems and a demonstrated understanding of payroll principles and processes that business systems are designed to support.
