Position Details
This is an opportunity to join a flexible and supportive statewide coastal adaptation and planning team, with the opportunity to lead and shape DEECAs contribution to coastal processes monitoring and data application.
This position leads DEECAs coastal monitoring program. This includes setting the strategic direction for the program and leading coastal monitoring activities (drones, waves and other data capture), research partnerships, data analysis, and knowledge product delivery (refer: Victorian Coastal Monitoring Program (VCMP)).
As program manager you will apply strong management, strategic planning and technical expertise to provide direction and support for program delivery. Your input will be highly valued on coastal processes and data for coastal science, engineering and adaptation planning projects statewide.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, science, or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience in coastal monitoring and data capture
- Experience with coastal processes assessment, modelling and mapping to inform coastal change analyses
- Knowledge and experience working with Geographic Information Systems, databases and portals
- Project Management skills and experience.
This is a 12 months fixed term position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
