Position Details

Apply your excellent coordination and relationship skills working in a dynamic and fast-paced Executive office in DEECA's Energy Group.

We are seeking a highly organised, strong communicator with experience in government systems and processes, to facilitate the smooth running of the Energy Demand Efficiency and Safety Division and foster a positive and responsive culture.

Working closely with the Executive Director, Directors, and Executive Assistants, and liaising with fellow Office of EDs across Energy, and the Office of the Deputy Secretary, you will lead the coordination of Divisional reporting, corporate requests, people and culture development, and business and risk planning.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

Strong relationship management skills with an ability to foster a positive and resilient culture.

Confident communication skills including the ability to prepare concise summaries of information, and tailor communications to different audiences.

High level planning and organisation skills with a good understanding of government processes.

Experience establishing, improving, and maintaining effective systems and processes, with effective problem-solving skills.

Knowledge or experience in energy is desirable but not essential, as you will be supported by a highly skilled and welcoming leadership team.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Advanced computer skills including the ability to use a range of software applications (e.g tools for project reporting, procurement).
  • Previous government experience is highly desirable.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria Flexible within Victoria - usual location 8 Nicholson Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
