Position Details
The Senior Project Officer - Statutory Reform will work in a team to deliver a significant package of planning reforms to the Victoria Planning Provisions to improve the efficiency, quality, outcomes and timeliness of decision-making processes. The role provides a key linkage between the development of planning policy and its implementation through planning schemes, legislation and regulation. This position will provide high level statutory advice and lead and support the policy development and statutory implementation of significant planning reforms.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in land use planning and demonstrable experience in working with strategic and statutory planning systems is mandatory.
- Extensive experience in, and knowledge of statutory and strategic land use planning within a metropolitan and regional planning context in Victoria is required.
- An understanding of significant government policies and strategies, combined with a sound knowledge of government processes involved with progressing project plans, budgets, strategy, policy, planning scheme amendments, regulation and legislation is required.
This is a fixed term position available for a period until 30 June 2023.
