Position Details
The purpose of this role is to support and implement the management of assets and the delivery of associated capital infrastructure works on the State Forest and Parks Victoria road network by providing high quality planning services.
Key responsibilities include supporting the management of the planning requirements for the delivery of the Department's capital infrastructure works program, undertaking field inspections of proposed works, providing planning input into the preparation and management of tender and contract documentation and processes, supporting the development and review of planning processes.
Additionally the role involves supporting the development and management of relationships with stakeholders and providing advice on complex planning issues.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification or relevant experience in natural resource management or civil works field.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to facilitate dialogue and to understand and adapt to different situations.
- Ability to use a range of computer software applications for developing spreadsheets, word processing and emails as well as experience with GIS / Mapping programs.
- Experience in the planning and delivery of civil works or similar in a public land management setting is desirable.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and management procedures relating to road management on public land would be an advantage.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
