Position Details

Please note: Due to Machinery of Government changes under Section 30 of the Public Administration Act (PPA), effective 1 January 2023, your employment will be with the Department of Transport and Planning. Corporate Services, including payroll, will be provided by Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action while a process for the formal transfer of staff in impacted areas is implemented.

The Manager, State Project Concierge will play a key role in supporting the delivery of major projects in Victoria, such as Victoria's Big Build, emergency services facilities and major arts and sporting facilities. The role will be a key contact point between DELWP and state project proponents, and has responsibility for guiding projects through the planning, impact assessment and other approval requirements.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working on planning and approvals processes, high-level stakeholder engagement and management of complex projects in the public or private sectors is required.
  • Technical knowledge or industry experience of the Victorian planning system is required.
  • Proven leadership skills, including demonstrated capacity to provide policy advice, direction and information in a complex environment and set strategic direction.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of complex projects, managing project teams and budgets in the public or private sectors is required.
  • Experience in the successful development and delivery of all aspects of major complex business reform programs particularly in a government context is desirable.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 months. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
