Position Details

The Role

The Change Manager is a member of the Data Insights team in DELWP's Forest, Fire and Regions (FFR) Group. This role oversees technology and business change and supports the adoption of new data collection technology and processes, data governance, business intelligence reporting and predictive analytics, across the group and among its public land and emergency management stakeholders.

The Change Manager will focus on data projects and products across a range of themes, including bushfire response and recovery, emergency management personnel, aerial firefighting, planning and public land infrastructure.

Data Insights is a multi-disciplinary and specialised in-house data team, providing a range of centralised services, including business intelligence reporting, predictive analytics, and data management, to Forest, Fire and Regions Group and Victoria's land and emergency management partner agencies. Data Insights is transforming the way Forest, Fire and Regions Group uses data to support its role in creating safe, liveable, inclusive, and sustainable communities, and thriving natural environments.

About you

You are passionate about data and are someone who can see the big picture, while having mastery of the details. You are a self-starter and an excellent communicator, and you love taking initiative and pioneering new and creative ideas. You are confident and comfortable working with ambiguity and uncertainty.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

Essential

  • Comprehensive experience in a change management leadership role, particularly within high profile technology/data transformation projects
  • Demonstrated experience in all aspects of change management, including project analysis, research, organisational change methods, developing and coordinating strategic projects in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated high level stakeholder management and engagement skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills.

Desirable

  • An understanding of the principles of information technology including SQL Databases, Software Development Life Cycle, Agile processes, data governance and business intelligence reporting
  • A relevant tertiary qualification would be desirable.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 2 years.
