Position Details

 In response to the storms and flooding in June 2021, a team has been established to work across departments and oversee the high‑profile work program dedicated to the response and recovery of the Yallourn Morwell River Diversion (MRD).

The Manager will lead the team and work closely with key members of the interdepartmental project team to ensure the repairs and recovery works as agreed to by the Victorian Government are being undertaken. This role will require strong policy experience and stakeholder engagement skills, which will be essential to work through complicated, technical policy and risk issues in a collaborative way.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in managing a major government priority. 

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary degree/qualification in law, economics or commerce, or public policy and administration.
  • Previous experience working within the government and in a policy role is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 18 months.
