Position Details

The Strategic Engagement Lead will support the Yallourn Emergency Management Branch to develop and implement strategic, innovative, high-quality, effective and appropriate engagement activities on behalf of the Victorian Government.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communications skills, have an ability to negotiate and build sustainable relationships, and work proactively with people of all levels.

The incumbent in this role will use their stakeholder engagement experience to ensure DELWP and other agencies have strong relationships with our key stakeholders, which are both within the VPS and external to government. This will include developing stakeholder plans to ensure proactive engagement takes place at appropriate times throughout the duration of work programs.  

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A strong background in stakeholder engagement delivery and theory.
  • High level experience in industry relations and stakeholder engagement with a demonstrated ability to prepare and implement strategies.
  • Experience in the energy sector would be desirable but not essential.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 18 months.
