Position Details

Based within the State Planning Concierge, the Senior Manager will lead environmental and/or planning advice and work within an agile multi-disciplinary environment across teams to support critical environmental impact assessments and planning approvals and provide expert advice, prepare high quality reports, submissions, briefings, and correspondence. A high level of collaboration with planning group executives and external stakeholders and project management responsibilities as required.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and significant experience in urban planning and/or a relevant qualification and demonstrated technical skills and experience in environmental impact assessment is required.
  • Demonstrated experience working on large or complex project assessment and approvals processes, high level stakeholder engagement and management of complex projects in the public or private sectors is required.
  • Proven leadership skills, including demonstrated capacity to provide policy advice, direction and information in a complex environment and set strategic direction.
  • Experience in the successful development and delivery of all aspects of business reform programs particularly in a government context is desirable.   

This is a fixed term position 30 June 2023.
