Position Details

Based within the State Planning Concierge, the Senior Project Officer will provide environmental and/or planning expertise and work within an agile multi-disciplinary environment across teams to support critical environmental impact assessments and planning approvals and provide expert advice, prepare high quality reports, submissions, briefings, and correspondence. A high level of collaboration with planning group executives and external stakeholders and project management responsibilities as required.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and significant experience in urban planning and / or a relevant qualification and demonstrated technical skills and experience in environmental impact assessment is required.
  • Demonstrated experience working on large or complex project assessment and approvals processes.
  • Technical knowledge or industry experience of the Victorian planning system and/or environmental impact assessment procedures under Victorian legislation, coordinating with other statutory processes as required.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide advice, direction and information in a complex environment and set strategic direction.

This is a fixed term position 30 June 2023.
