This position is responsible for the effective delivery of a range of public land management and property services, with an emphasis on land acquisitions, Crown property projects and public land administration, and reports to the Project Manager Land Acquisitions within the Land and Built Environment Programs Unit Gippsland.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced public land administrator who is able to demonstrate initiative, work independently, make positive contributions to a project team and have highly developed negotiation skills. The position will provide advice to and build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders including other government agencies and authorities, property professionals and private landowners.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A sound knowledge or the ability to learn and interpret relevant policy, procedures and legislation associated with property acquisitions and public land, in particular the Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986, the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978, is desirable.
  • Experience in the implementation of land acquisitions, Crown property dealings and projects is desirable.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2023.
The work location for this position is negotiable within the Gippsland Region.
