Position Details

The Knowledge Broker role is a unique opportunity to work as part of a broader network with Australia's leading climate change research and decision-making agencies through a partnership with the National Environment Science Program Climate Systems Hub.

The Knowledge Broker will highlight the broad stakeholder needs of states and territories to inform research priorities, enhancement of applied decision-making tools and research projects being delivered in Australia. You will have excellent relationship skills provide specialist knowledge and experience in translating scientific knowledge for different contexts.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification(s) including science, engineering, or similar is mandatory, and a postgraduate qualification is desirable. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of climate risk and experience applying climate science to support decision-making climate is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating climate change science concepts and/or translating technical information into content accessible to a non-technical audience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience of stakeholder engagement and needs analysis and co-design of research projects and or knowledge products is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 2 years.
