Position Details

The Program Officer provides project and administrative support to the Business Strategy and Operations Branch of Forest, Fire and Regions Group. Working across the Branch, the position supports Group objectives by supporting best practice program, budget, and risk management.

As an active member of the Office of the Deputy Secretary, the Program Officer will contribute to the delivery of Group and departmental priorities, and to building an inclusive and high performing workforce that is customer focussed, collaborative, professional and engaged.

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate initiative, an ability to take appropriate action for urgent matters, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in project management, finance, business management or other relevant degree is desirable.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 months.
