Position Details

Are you looking to expand your breadth of policy knowledge and networks? Do you enjoy working in a small, fun and dynamic team?

In this role as Senior Advisor to the Secretary, you will work with the Energy, Resources, Climate Action and Water portfolios to guide quality policy advice to the Secretary. To do this you will:

  • work closely with executives and cabinet services to coordinate approvals and establish priorities
  • enjoy critical policy analysis and relationship building across the Department
  • identify and respond to day-to-day governance and policy matters
  • have a background energy, water or resource policy
  • have experience using MACs and with cabinet processes

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Experience with government, departmental and Ministerial processes; and an understanding of policy issues in water, energy, climate change or resources is desired.
  • An appropriate qualification in public policy, science, economics, law or equivalent is desirable.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
