Position Details

Use your policy skills to help Victoria achieve a net zero emissions, climate-resilient and circular economy

The Climate Action and Circular Economy Division is seeking a number of policy professionals to develop high quality, proactive and timely policy advice to drive climate action and build Victoria's circular economy. You will have the opportunity to drive forward the Victorian Government's ambitious climate action and circular economy agenda while working in a supportive and high performing division within DEECA.

There are a range of policy positions across a number of climate action and circular economy branches including in net zero policy, adaptation policy, government climate action, and circular economy policy teams.

To be successful in this position you will have demonstrated skills to draft policies and business cases using research skills and in consultation with stakeholders. You will have proven ability to think critically and communicate in a clear and impactful way. You will have a flexible and responsive attitude to your work

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Experience in undertaking policy analysis and providing policy advice is desirable
  • Experience undertaking engagement with stakeholders on policy issues is desirable
  • An understanding of Victorian Government policy processes is desirable
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field are desirable.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
