Position Details

Interested in working on once in a generation projects and policy work? Come join the Planning and Impact Assessments team and be a part of the solution to some of trickiest water challenges facing our State. You will be an integral part of a team delivering policy to make sure Victoria's water sharing framework meets the needs of current and future generations. You will also be part of developing evidenced-base policy that supports the clean energy transition by providing water-related advice for the orderly rehabilitation and closure of Latrobe Valley coal mines.

You will be at the forefront of energy transition and planning for the future of Victoria's water sharing framework. You will work in a dynamic multidisciplinary team who collaborate to solve problems.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Mandatory: Tertiary degree in law and/or economics
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in mine rehabilitation and/or water sector experience is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position available until 22 March 2027. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
