Position Details

Ever wondered how we can use our precious natural resources more efficiently and safety, so waste is avoided, there is more recycling, and we reduce emissions? If so, now is the time to make a difference.

There are exciting opportunities to join a vibrant team in the Climate Action and Circular Economy Division and be at the forefront in shaping circular economy policy and regulatory frameworks.

You will work within a flexible and supportive team to develop high quality, proactive policy advice and draft regulatory reforms to drive Victoria's circular economy.

We are looking for team players with strong critical thinking and stakeholder engagement skills, who can confidently prepare and present policy advice, assess regulatory options and initiate and build effective working relationships with stakeholders including other state government agencies, other jurisdictions and industry.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects and policy advice is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in public sector administration, management, and processes at a senior level, including provision of strategic advice to government and supporting timely government decision making is desirable.
  • Experience undertaking engagement with stakeholders across government, industry and the community on complex policy issues is desirable.
  • A well-developed understanding of Victorian Government policy processes is desirable.
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant area are desirable.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 9 Months. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
